Manchester United Hit With Injury Crisis Ahead Of Watford Tie

Manchester United take on Watford tomorrow in the Premier League, but will have to make do without some of their major stars.

Michael Carrick and Anthony Martial both sustained injuries on international duty, while Marouane Fellaini and Antonio Valencia also miss out. Wayne Rooney has been stricken by illness so is not available for consideration.

Watford away is a big game for the Red Devils, as they are eager to close the gap on leaders Arsenal and Manchester City, who play West Brom and Liverpool respectively. However, United also have a big European game during the week, and there is better news on that front.

With Rooney and Martial both out, firepower up front is certainly an issue, and Louis Van Gaal has quite publicly outlined his lack of confidence in James Wilson doing a job tomorrow.

Kick-off at Vicarage Road is at 12.45 tomorrow afternoon, with a win vital for United.
