Manchester United Fans Blast Jose Mourinho After Yet Another Underwhelming Team Selection

Manchester United v Manchester City - EFL Cup Fourth Round

Manchester United are struggling to come to terms with Jose Mourinho’s selection.

It is fair to say that Jose Mourinho has not enjoying the best start as Manchester United’s new manager.

Three consecutive defeats in September followed by a 4-0 trouncing at the hands of Chelsea has left United fans feeling a little underwhelmed.

After all, the arrival of Mourinho was supposed to bring an end to dour performances that characterised David Moyes and Louis van Gaal’s time in charge.

However, United have struggled in the final third under the Portuguese boss, with an alarming lack of creativity evident. Nevertheless, Mourinho has remained defiant, and has continued to select teams in his image.

This means, while the likes of Memphis Depay, Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini are often selected in Mourinho’s match day squads, there seems to be little place for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The attacker who cost United £30 million, having scored 23 goals and bagged 20 assists last season with Borussia Dortmund.

However, despite United’s failings in the final third, Mourinho has remained defiant, and left Mkhitaryan out of United’s match day squad again today.
