It was announced late last night that 21-year-old Andreas Pereira would once again be leaving Manchester United on loan.
The Brazilian attacker joined the English club aged 15 and progressed gradually through the academy before making his first team debut in 2014. He impressed in his too seldom cameos and it was hoped prior to the start of last season that he’d be a more permanent fixture in the senior squad. However, he was sent to Spanish side Granada for the campaign much to the disappointment of supporters.
Pereira enjoyed a wonderful spell on the Costa Del Sol and was one of few positives for Granada in a fairly dire season. Such was the level of praise heaped on him for his displays for El Grana, many presumed the starlet would be given a chance to prove his worth back at Old Trafford. He was brought on his side’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer and was one of the standout performers over the course of the trip.
Despite all that, though, his future does not seem to be with the Reds following the confirmation of his return to La Liga.

Unsurprisingly, fans were not impressed with the decision to once again jettison the youngster.
How do we loan him yet still employ Jesse Lingard…

Considering how well he did at Granada, it’s difficult to imagine quite how good he’ll have to be at Valencia in order to force his way back into the squad next season.
