With Manchester United currently in sixth place in the Premier League and enduring what has been a frustrating season thus far, recent reports suggest United boss Jose Mourinho will make a move for fellow Portuguese man Bruma.

With Mourinho frustrated at his side’s lack of impetus in the final third the Sun have linked the club with a move for 22-year-old winger Bruma, who currently plays for Turkish club Galatasaray in the Süper Lig.

Capped seven times for Portugal’s under-21 side, Bruma began his career with Sporting Lisbon before signing a five-year deal with Turkish giants Galatasaray in a deal worth €10 million back in 2013. Having made 48 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and contributing twelve assists, the young winger spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad, where he played under former United manager David Moyes.

Bruma, who is blessed with lightning pace – something which United clearly need – has been in fine fettle this season contributing four goals and three assists in ten appearances for the CimBom.

With frightening pace, solid dribbling skills and strong creative attributes, Bruma is an important part of Galatasaray’s plans for this season, and while the club would ideally love to retain the 22-year-old, they could be tempted to cash in on the in-form winger, with his contract expiring next summer.

Despite spending over £100 million in the summer transfer window on Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, it’s believed Mourinho will look to further reshape and rejuvenate his squad in the January transfer window.

While many players could potentially be gearing up to leave Old Trafford, it looks like Bruma may be coming in, with the tabloid reporting that £8 million should be enough to secure the signature and services of the fledgling youngster.
