Manchester United continue their run of Cup games as they take on Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

The Reds overcame Saint-Etienne on Thursday in the Europa League thanks to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic hat-trick. They travel to France on Wednesday for the seemingly straightforward return leg. Sandwiched in between is the short trip north to take on Owen Coyle’s side.

With the EFL Cup final also on the horizon for Jose Mourinho, one would imagine he would look to rest some of his stars as Wembley beckons. However, speaking in the week, The Special One reiterated his respect for the FA Cup and insisted he’d put out a strong side.

Rovers currently sit just one spot above the foot of the Championship table and have managed just two league wins in the past two months but they have shown a taste for upsets recently, edging promotion chasing Newcastle 1-0 over the Christmas period.

The teams have been released by both clubs and United start with a very intriguing eleven.
