Looks like he won’t be gracing the Premier League after all…
Media outlets across Europe went into meltdown today as news broke that PSG had told Zlatan Ibrahimovic he can leave the club this summer.
With Arsenal and Manchester United both currently in desperate need of a new striker, many wondered if the infamous Zlatan would finally be headed for English soil. Unfortunately, it now looks very unlikely.
According to AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi, the Swedish superstar has already given his word to the club that he played for from from 2010 – 2012 and he will return as soon as he is done with PSG.
The former Italian Prime Minister stated that he is in no doubt about Zlatan’s destination despite the reported interest from England. Speaking to Sky Italia, Berlusconi had the following to say.
“It’s difficult for him to stay in France, because of his words that drew a negative reaction from the French public.
“If PSG end it with Zlatan, we have his word that then there would only be us.”
We still think there is every chance he will stay at PSG but as it stands, Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks likely to rejoin the Rossoneri should he leave.
