Manchester City look to continue their 100% start to the season this afternoon as they welcome West Ham United to the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola rested a number of players for Wednesday night’s dead rubber against Steaua Bucuresti, and so reverts back to what has become something of a preferred lineup for the new manager.

To that end, Joe Hart drops out once again. Guardiola already confirmed that £17m signing Claudio Bravo would not be playing today, so Willy Caballero returns to the starting lineup for the time being.

Yaya Touré is also left out completely once again, with time running out for the Ivorian to find a new club before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

West Ham, meanwhile, were also in European action in midweek, though they crashed out of the Europa League to Romanian champions Astra Giurgiu.

Slaven Bilic makes several changes to the side which beat Bournemouth 1-0 last weekend as he switches to a 3-5-2 formation.

Italian international forward Simone Zaza’s move was only confirmed this morning so he will have no involvement, meaning Enner Valencia starts up front once again.

In a surprise move, former Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher starts up front alongside the Ecuadorian international to make his full Premier League debut.
