Manchester United have made just two changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Liverpool in midweek – but one in particular might be enough from a collective sigh of relief from fans.
Much-maligned midfielder Marouane Fellaini has lost his place in the starting lineup, with manager Louis van Gaal deciding to recall French international Morgan Schneiderlin to the starting eleven.
The reaction, as you can imagine, has been positive…

Fellaini has become something of a scapegoat among the Old Trafford supporters, and the presence of Schneiderlin in the centre alongside Michael Carrick will surely make them feel a little more confident about today’s massive match with rivals Manchester City at the Etihad.
The other change sees Uruguayan full-back Guillermo Varela – caught out badly for Coutinho’s equaliser on Thursday – replaced by fit-again Matteo Darmian.

Manchester City, meanwhile, make four changes to the side that drew 0-0 at home to Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday.
Vincent Kompany is facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines and he is joined on the treatment table by fellow central defender Nicolás Otamendi. Both had to leave the field of play on Wednesday – Martin Demichelis and Eliaquim Mangala come in to replace the injured pair.
Elsewhere, Bacary Sagna replaces Pablo Zabaleta at right back and the return of Raheem Sterling to the starting lineup after three games on the bench sees Yaya Touré drop back to partner Fernandinho, with Fernando Reges missing out.
