Manchester City could be about to raid Arsenal yet again.
In what has become an all too familiar story for Arsenal fans, Manchester City could be about to raid the Gunners for one of their star players.
After losing Samir Nasri, Bacary Sagna and Gaël Clichy to the Blues in recent seasons, The Mirror have claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side are lining up a move for Arsenal’s Héctor Bellerín. The news comes after The Times reported a similar story earlier this week.
Although Arsenal fans drew a sigh of relief after Barcelona seemed to cool their interest in the Spanish right back, the fact that City have consistently been linked with a move for Bellerín should really worry Gunners supporters.
Although it seems as if Barca were scared off by Arsenal’s £40 million asking price, as reported by the Daily Mail, City hold no such fear as they look to rebuild their squad under Pep Guardiola.
Furthermore, as the Mirror believe Guardiola has been handed a £175 million war chest, City should not have problem in meeting Arsenal’s valuation of Bellerín, or even exceeding it.
Apart from Bellerín, City are also targeting Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci, who is valued at £60 million, and Borussia Dortmund’s £50 million rated striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
