Manchester City host their greatest rivals today in the Etihad Stadium, as they are gunning to be crowned Premier League champions ahead of the Champions League quarter-final second leg on Tuesday.
A win would see Pep Guardiola’s outfit capture the title, and they were well and truly in the driving seat as they head to half-time with a 2-0 lead.
However, it could have been worse for the Red Devils, when City were denied what looked like a stonewall penalty as Ashley Young appeared to handle the ball in his own box.
Fans were incensed at the decision.

That is 100% a penalty kick for a hand ball on Ashley Young. It doesn’t matter whether it was intentional or not, his arm was away from his body and he’s stopped a goal scoring situation. #MCIMUN #PremierLeague

100% a handball on Ashley Young. 100% a penalty. Not sure why we’re overthinking this… pic.twitter.com/i9sFwEDEwO

That's handball. Ashley Young slips over and the ball diverts off his hand with the ball about to go to an unmarked Sterling.
