Tuanzebe was introduced to the Man United first team by Louis van Gaal in the 2015/16 season before making his debut under Jose Mourinho last season. In all, he made five appearances in all competitions in the last campaign.
He has been used a bit more sparingly by the manager this term, and his only senior involvement thus far has been 90 minutes against Swansea in the Carabao Cup and two cameo appearances, one in the Champions League and one in the Premier League.
Nonetheless, the England U21 international is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in the Man United youth setup, with Mourinho and academy head of coaching Nicky Butt speaking highly of the centre-back regularly.
Tuanzebe joins up with fellow loanee Sam Johnstone, the goalkeeper who moved from Old Trafford on a season-long deal at the beginning of the campaign.
Despite beginning the season poorly, Steve Bruce’s side are now in fourth place in the Championsip, very much in the battle for promotion. Tuanzebe may be inexperienced at senior level but nonetheless represents an exciting signing for the manager and the fans.
