Manchester United and Chelsea have announced their starting elevens for this afternoon’s FA Cup final at Wembley.
Respective managers Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte will both be desperate to land silverware to end the campaign, and that has been reflected in both picking their strongest possible lineups for the occasion.
For Man United, this means a start in goal for David De Gea. Sergio Romero had been trusted for most of the rounds (apart from the semi-final when he was absent through injury), but Mourinho has opted for the Spaniard in today’s showpiece.
The big news for Mourinho, however, is that Romelu Lukaku is on the bench. The Belgian striker missed the last few matchers of the league campaign and was subject to a late fitness test. His place in the starting eleven is taken by Marcus Rashford.

For Chelsea, meanwhile, Conte has also opted for the strongest option between the posts and selected Thibaut Courtois ahead of Willy Caballero.
Today’s team: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Cahill (c), Rudiger, Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Bakayoko, Alonso, Hazard, Giroud.

Olivier Giroud gets the nod to start up front following his strong end to the Premier League season, leaving Alvaro Morata on the subs’ bench.
There are few other surprises in Conte’s selection, with Tiemoue Bakayoko starting as expected and Willian and Pedro also on the bench.
