Seani Maguire needed just ten minutes on Saturday to remind Preston fans what they had been missing for the last four months.
The former Cork City man was named on the substitutes’ bench for Preston’s trip to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, and although he has not kicked a ball in anger since the 1st of November, manager Alex Neil had no qualms about throwing Maguire into the action as the teams were level with 25 minutes remaining.
Just over ten minutes later, Maguire had firmly made his mark on proceedings by completing the Preston comeback and putting the visitors 2-1 up, firing home at the near post after good work from Callum Robinson.

To further stamp home his authority in this match, Maguire scored his second and Preston’s third in stoppage time. The striker slotted home having been set up by Josh Harrop, to make sure of the points and give Preston supporters something to celebrate on the way home.
