Liverpool travel to Bournemouth on Sunday looking to maintain their strong Premier League form.
Jürgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten still unbeaten since August, but the manager now has a few injuries to contend with.
Philippe Coutinho will definitely miss out (and will remain out until at least then end of this month) as he begins recovery from an ankle injury, while Roberto Firmino also hobbled off in last weekend’s 2-0 win against Sunderland.
Klopp, speaking to the media on Friday morning ahead of the trip to the Vitality Stadium, issued the media with an update on the fitness of the latter Brazilian international, as well as Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge.
Lallana and Sturridge both missed the win at Anfield last Saturday, and the boss had mixed news in terms of the readiness of Liverpoo’ls attackers.
Lallana, having missed the last two Premier League games, trained with the team on Thursday and, pending any setbacks, looks likely to at least make the bench on Sunday.

Firmino also trained with the team and while he came through the whole session, he is still feeling some pain. He may play, but Klopp stated that it is touch-and-go:

Sturridge, however, will not be involved. The England international would undoubtedly have been hoping to fill the void left by Cuoutinho’s absence, but will have to bide his time (and risk Divock Origi moving ahead of him in the pecking order) as he sits out the clash this weekend.

On the subject of Sturridge, Klopp shot down any notion of the striker being sold in the January transfer window. West Ham and AC Milan are among the clubs being linked with the out-of-favour forward in the winter, but the Liverpool manager insisted that it made no sense to sell any first team players in the window (apart from Mamadou Sakho, one would assume).
Klopp: “You and your colleagues create stories and then ask me about them. There is no thought of selling any player from 1st team squad.”

Klopp: “I am prepared for all the things you’ll ask me in January. It will be funny for sure.”
