If today’s reports in The Sun are true, news that star player Philippe Coutinho wants a move to Barcelona will concern Liverpool fans who also lost Luis Suarez to the Catalan giants.
The report suggests the player, who is good friends with fellow Brazilian and Barcelona star Neymar, tried to force a move to the Nou Camp in the last transfer window.
Spanish publication Sport claims Liverpool are concerned their star player will once again try to leave Anfield for Spain next summer despite only signing a new deal until 2020 less than a year ago.
It’s also claimed both Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are keeping tabs on the player who is seen as a key part of the side Jurgen Klopp is building at Anfield and one whom he has no intention of letting go easily.
Liverpool fans will undoubtedly be worried in a case of history repeating itself with the club previously unable to hold onto star players such as Fernando Torres, Raheem Sterling and Luis Suarez.
With four goals and four assists so far this season, Coutinho will be eager to continue to impress in the hope to win his first Premier League medal. Liverpool fans will be hoping should he achieve this goal, the taste of success at Anfield will leave him wanting more with the club, forcing other suitors to look elsewhere.
