Report: Liverpool To Hijack Arsenal’s £34.5 Million Move For Striker

Liverpool and Arsenal are both actively recruiting in the transfer window as Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger look to bolster their squads ahead of the new season. However, something will have to give when one of Europe’s most dangerous strikers is available.

Alexandre Lacazette has been linked with a move to the Premier League all summer, and according to a report in the Star, Liverpool are set to hijack Arsenal’s move for the Frenchman.

The 25 year-old striker is highly rated, scoring 23 goals in France last season for Lyon.

Arsenal have reportedly already put in a bid in the region of £34 million for the frontman, as they wish to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, easing the pressure on Olivier Giroud.

However, the Gunners will face opposition for his signature in the form of Liverpool. The Reds are also looking for a top quality striker, as it appears that Christian Benteke will be leaving the club.

Lacazette is undoubtedly one of the most promising strikers in Europe, and a move to the Premier League is surely one in which he would have interest.

It is likely that he is keen on a move, but as of yet it is unclear where he will go.
