Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have just published a story suggesting Liverpool have bid for Inter man, Mateo Kovacic.
Acccording to the paper, this was Brendan Rodgers second bid for the young Croatian international. Bidding just €18m however, Inter Milan rejected and are instead holding out for a €25m fee.
The midfielder was signed for €16m in 2013, arriving to Inter from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, and apparently Liverpool are now considering a third bid for the 21 year old.
Kovacic has already been capped 19 times for Croatia and is a regular in the Inter Milan first team.
The midfielder has just had his greatest season, scoring eight goals in all competitions in the 14/15 season, however it is believed that Inter manager Roberto Mancini is looking to free up funds in order to make a move for Manchester City star Yaya Toure and as such, he may be willing to sell.
