Liverpool & Arsenal Fans Unite In Ticket Price Protest

Ticket pricing in the Premier League is an issue which is raring its head more than ever before, with rising costs causing uproar amongst fans who are becoming priced out of football.

A protest was staged outside the Emirates today by both Liverpool and Arsenal fan groups. The Spirit of Shankly and Arsenal’s Black Scarf Movement, missed the first ten minutes of kick-off in protest of the high cost of going to see Premier League games.

Roy Bentham, of the Spirit of Shankly, told the Liverpool Echo that the action being taken is,

“vitally important to keep the pressure on the Premier League collectively”.

“Until we see the detail of those concessions, the campaign for more affordable football will continue.

“Diehard supporters will have travelled but cannot afford the price of £54 to go into the stadium to watch the team they create so many flags and banners for. There is something inherently wrong with that.”

…and also inside The Emirates.
