After completing the signing of Sadio Mane, the Reds had to make some space in their front line.
If reports are to be believed, twenty-year-old winger Jordon Ibe will be the man to make the way. The Liverpool Echo claims:
“Liverpool have accepted a £15million bid from Bournemouth for winger Jordon Ibe .
“The ECHO understands that the 20-year-old has been given permission to hold talks with the South Coast outfit.
“Ibe’s future at Anfield has looked increasingly uncertain after a disappointing 2015/16 campaign.”
The London-born starlet joined the Reds aged just 16 after impressing for Wycombe Wanderers. Many people saw him as a potential replacement for Raheem Sterling after the youngster left for Manchester City.
Should the deal go through, it could free up some funds for a much needed revamp of Liverpool’s squad. With the Premier League set to be highly competitive next year, further signings are imperative.
Ibe bagged 4 goals in 41 appearances last season.
