Premier League champions Leicester City are in action against Barcelona in Stockholm tonight for the International Champions Cup.
With the Premier League season beginning in less than two weeks’ time, this is one of the final opportunities for Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri to prepare his squad for the new campaign.
A number of new signings are in action tonight, including Ron-Robert Zieler, Bartosz Kapustka and Nampalys Mendy, but it is forward Ahmed Musa who has really caught the eye, thanks in part to this special solo goal:
Barca were 3-0 up at half time thanks to a pair of goals from Munir either side of a Luis Suárez strike. However, Musa, Leicester’s record signing at £16.6m, dragged his side into the game withing the first two minutes after the restart.
The Nigerian international picked up the ball in his own half before embarking on a run that showed off his pace, beating a number of Barcelona defenders before slotting past goalkeeper Jordi Masip.
Musa has since scored a second for Leicester, cutting Barcelona’s lead to just one goal.
With less than ten minutes left, the score remains 3-2 to the Spanish giants. However, this is proving to be ideal preparation for Leicester ahead of the Community Shield against Manchester United at Wembley.
