Sligo Rovers’ U-19s manager Ciaran Kelly is hoping his youngsters can register their first win in this season’s U-19 league as they take on Longford Town.
Last time out Sligo were outclassed and well beaten by a strong Dundalk side at Oriel Park.
Speaking exclusively to Pundit Arena this week Sligo’s U-19s manager Ciaran Kelly said,
“This week has being a busy week around the club. I am very disappointed about the outcome of last week’s game as are the players. As a group we’re all chomping at the bit to get back playing and are really looking forward to this weekend’s game. Our performance last week didn’t reflect the effort we put into the game. A week in football is a long time so we are hoping that the result this week will be a positive one.”
Kelly has no injuries ahead of the game but will more than likely be without the services of Reggon Donelon, Ruairi Keating and Gary Boylan who are more than likely on duty with the first team as they take on Drogheda United.
It’s a 3pm kick-off at the Astro Turf pitch in the Showgrounds.
