Liverpool are having a pretty enjoyable time in the opening months of the new football season. Joint top of the Premier League and unbeaten in ten games sees Jurgen Klopp’s men spoken of as potential title winners once again.
Tonight, Liverpool hosted Tottenham in the English Football League (EFL) cup and continued their impressive run of form with an assured 2-1 victory over title rivals, Spurs. A brace from Danial Sturridge sealed the victory for the Reds and left manager, Klopp, to savour another strong performance.
As Liverpool take home the bragging rights and advance to the last eight, fans have taken to social media, not to discuss and applaud their side, but instead, to recognise the reappearance of Klopp’s doppleganger on the sidelines.
The man in question is Liverpool fitness coach Andreas Kornmayer, who joined the Merseyside club during the summer. Tonight, for the second time this season, Kornmayer has been seen by fans to cut a strikingly similar pose as his boss.
Has Klopp got a lookalike on the bench in case he ever gets a stadium ban and needs to bamboozle the FA? #cleverKlopp

Whutt. Did I see a Klopp doppelgänger??

All jokes aside, Kornmayer is the man credited with improving the fitness and conditioning of the Liverpool squad so that they can comfortably play Klopp’s pressing game. With the side riding high on all fronts, fans can be forgiven for having a little fun.
