Re-elected Barca president Josep Bartomeu has confirmed no bids have been made for any of the club’s players whilst speaking to Spanish daily AS.
Rumours have circulated in the last week of Pedro’s pending move to Manchester United, whilst Arsenal fans were excited to hear of a possible bid for Barca’s defensive midfield starlet Sergi Samper, 20, but Bartomeu has moved swiftly to deny that the club has received any offers.
“We have yet to receive any offers for any of our squad players and I go back to what our coach said; if anyone wants to leave they need to make a formal request and then ensure that their buyout clause is paid. As yet, no-one has made this request so we are relaxed over the matter”
Bartomeu was speaking specifically about interest from the Red Devils in Pedro and the possible move of Adriano to Roma, but having having said that, his comment regarding the speculation means that as of yet, Arsenal are yet to move for Samper.
