While Claudio Bravo’s Manchester City debut yesterday was a bit shaky, Joe Hart, the goalkeeper he replaced, has also been having a first match to forget in Italy.
The England international joined Serie A side Torino on a season-long loan deal towards the end of the transfer window last month, looking for first-team football having slipped to third-choice keeper at the Etihad.
However, this was not the start neither Hart nor Torino manager Sinisa Mihajlovic had in mind.
Starting ahead of previous number one Daniele Padelli away to Atalanta, things looked to be going well for the 29-year-old and his side thanks to an effort from former Tottenham forward Iago Falqué.
However, just two minutes later, Hart unleashed his inner Claudio Bravo (and not in a good way)…

Hart went to claim a corner, but he could not get enough purchase on the clearance, leaving Atalanta’s Andrea Masiello to tap home into an unguarded net.

As if to compound the misery, a late Franck Yannick Kessie penalty put Atalanta 2-1 ahead with just a few minutes remaining.
That being said, considering the Atalanta press officers didn’t even know Hart’s name earlier today, he probably should have known that today wasn’t to be his day…
