Brentford have offered Christian Eriksen a six-month contract to take the Dane back to the Premier League.
The former Tottenham midfielder is a free agent after agreeing to terminate his Inter Milan contract last month.
The 29-year-old has not played since suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's opening Euro 2020 game last summer.
The Athletic state that Brentford have offered Eriksen a six-month deal with the option to extend for a further year.
MARTIAL FUTURE
Newcastle and Tottenham have had approaches to take Anthony Martial on loan turned down.
The Manchester United forward still wants out of Old Trafford but, according to Fabrizio Romano, is not interested in any loan moves to English clubs.
Moves to Barcelona, Sevilla and Juventus remain as options for the Frenchman.

WOOD BREAKS PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFER RECORD
Chris Wood has become the most expensive 30+ year-old in Premier League history, after Newcastle United paid Burnley £25 million for his services.
The previous record had been held by Sokratis Papastathopoulos, after Arsenal paid Borussia Dortmund £17.6 million for the defender in 2018.

LUCAS DIGNE COMPLETES ASTON VILLA MOVE
Aston Villa have completed the £25 million signing of Everton left-back Lucas Digne, as Steven Gerrard continues to add quality signings to his squad.
Things didn't appear to end well for the Frenchman at Goodison Park as he aimed what appeared to be a parting dig at Everton manager Rafael Benitez.

PHILIPPE COUTINHO COMPLETES ASTON VILLA LOAN
Aston Villa have pulled off quite a coup by completing the loan signing of Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho,
The Brazilian is a former Liverpool teammate of Villa manager Steven Gerrard and signs until the end of the season.
The deal also includes an option for Villa to buy Coutinho on a permanent basis.
