The enigmatic Louis van Gaal is returning to football management…
Having parted company with Manchester United back in 2016, Louis van Gaal has been enjoying retired life for the past two seasons. Although the somewhat eccentric Dutch coach has never admitted that he has formally hung up his spurs, most pundits and fans thought that they had seen the last of the 66-year-old in the dugout.
However, speaking to Ziggo TV, the ‘Iron Tulip’ has just announced that he has now had an offer that he cannot refuse and will likely be making his return to management this summer.
Louis van Gaal on Dutch tv channel Ziggo: ‘I still get a lot of offers…and now I’ve had an offer that I think I can’t refuse…No, I can’t share any more than this.’ pic.twitter.com/odTqRxG4Rm

“I still get a lot of offers, and now I’ve had an offer that I think I can’t refuse. I can’t share anymore than this.”
“More than this I do not say, but if I am not at work in July or August, I will definitely retire.”
With Van Gaal refusing to name his apparent offer, fans have somewhat sarcastically jumped to the conclusion that the Dutchman will be replacing the departing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

He’s absolutely committed to banter, so that’s a good starting point.
