Inter midfielder Ivan Perisic almost left the club to join Manchester United in the summer – but showed Nerazzurri fans on Sunday exactly why they’re lucky he stayed at the San Siro.
The Croatian international was in Serie A action with Luciano Spalletti’s side against newly-promoted SPAL on Sunday afternoon, and it was his strike that put the icing on the cake with three minutes remaining in a routine 2-0 victory in Milan.
However, it was Perisic’s technique that made the goal stand out, expertly controlling a cross from Danilo D’Alessandro to strike the ball on the volley and give visiting goalkeeper Alfred Gomis no chance of keeping it out.
