Italian journalist Emmanuele Giulianelli has claimed that Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is keen to join Arsenal.
However, the major stumbling block as we reported earlier is that Liverpool are stubborn in their belief that they
will not sell Sturridge to a rival.
LFC would prefer Sturridge to join a non rival but player would be keen on move to AFC. I doubt it could happen now but who knows

The England international appears to be deeply unhappy with life at Anfield after an outburst in the media against Jürgen Klopp for deploying him on the wing.
Furthermore, Sturridge publicly showed his disdain after making no attempt to hide his disgust at Klopp’s decision to sub on Divock Origi ahead of him in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
Sturridge then proceeded the post the screenshot of his face onto his Instagram account in a light-hearted take of the matter, in a move which has surely irritated the hierachy at Liverpool.
As such, Arsenal have been linked in past hours, with supporters cautiously optimistic that the deal could happen after bookmakers slashed the odds of Sturridge’s potential move.
With mere hours remaining in the transfer window however, the move does seem very unlikely, with there being no time for the Reds to find a replacement for the 26-year-old.
Will Sturridge be celebrating his 27th birthday at the Emirates tomorrow? Only time will tell, but we can’t see it.
