Ireland’s Path To Euro 2016 Has Been Revealed

The draw for the play-offs to determine the last four countries who will compete at Euro 2016 has taken place this morning. The third placed teams from each group were in contention, with Turkey automatically qualified as the best third placed side.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Sweden and Hungary were seeded, and were to be draw against Denmark, Ireland, Norway and Slovenia.

The draw is as follows:

Ukraine v Slovenia.

Sweden v Denmark.

Bosnia and Herzegovina v Republic of Ireland.

Hungary v Norway.

This is no easy task for Martin O’Neill’s side, but buoyed by a famous home win over Germany earlier this month, they will believe that they can get a positive result over two legs to qualify for their second consecutive European championship.

For the fans travelling to the away leg, this is one of the harder venues to get to out of the options today.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be a tricky task for the Boys in Green, with star man Edin Dzeko who plays for Roma needing no introduction.

The first leg will be in Bosnia, before coming to Dublin to decide the tie.
