Irish international David Meyler could be edged out by Hull City to make way for new signing Mohamed Diame. However, Hull fans have expressed their hope that the midfielder stays with the Tigers.
David Meyler could be moved on by Hull City in the last few frantic hours of transfer window, according to unconfirmed reports. The midfielder who established himself in the Tigers’ starting line up last season, is perhaps best known for a touch line bust up with Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew, when a totally unprovoked Magpies boss headbutted the blameless Irishman.
It now seems that the 25-year-old may be nearing the exit door following today’s signing of Mohamed Diame from West Ham. The Senegalese international, who was changed hands for £3.5 million, would be expected to start in midfield ahead of the former Cork City player.
Championship outfit Derby County have been rumoured to be the favourites to sign the midfielder with Premier League club Burnley also in contention.
Hull City fans have been vocal in their support of Meyler and it’s clear that they hope he stays with the club.

In other Hull news the Tigers faithful will be excited at the prospect of seeing striker Abel Hernandez line out for their side. The Uruguayan, who is a record signing for the club, has just completed his £10 million move from Italian club Palermo. Boss Steve Bruce was delighted with the coup, and was quoted in the Mirror as saying.
“Abel is a fantastic signing and highlights just how far the Club has come in such a short space of time. He is an exciting talent and like myself, I’m sure the supporters can’t wait to see him in action”
