Jose Mourinho’s stats vs the big sides in the Premier League are beginning to look very worrying indeed…
On Sunday evening, Manchester United headed to Stamford Bridge in desperate need of a victory if they were to keep pace in the title race.
Manchester City are currently obliterating everyone in their path and, after a 3-1 victory vs Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, United needed a win to stay within five points of their so-called ‘noisy neighbours’.
However, an outstanding finish from Alvaro Morata put Chelsea ahead at Stamford Bridge and, despite a late surge from United, the Red Devils were simply unable to find a way past Conte’s defence.
After the game, the excuses began to flow for Mourinho as he claimed that United were missing some ‘big players’ while he also declared that Chelsea did not deserve to win the game.
‘For me it wasn’t a fair result. We deserved a late goal for the incredible effort we put in.’
However, a horrifying Mourinho stat emerged online moments later with results now clearly highlighting the ‘Special One’s’ evident inability to guide his sides to victory in away fixtures vs the top six.

Mourinho has now failed to win a game away vs a historically ‘big six’ side in the Premier League in his last ten attempts and has only scored one goal in attempting to do so.
United are now eight points behind Manchester City in the league table and it’s only early November. It may still be too early to say but it’s already beginning to look like United’s title challenge may be over before it ever really got started.
