Norwich City said goodbye to a legend last weekend, as Wes Hoolahan bowed out after a decade at Carrow Road.
The former Ireland international signed off in style for his club on Saturday, scoring the equaliser and assisting the winner as Norwich came from a goal down to defeat Leeds United in the side’s penultimate Championship clash of the season.
Hoolahan was given the opportunity to make a speech saying his goodbyes at Norwich’s end-of-season awards at the weekend – and he showed just how much the Canaries mean to him as he became overwhelmed with emotion in the middle of said speech:
If you haven’t shed a tear yet…this should do the trick! ?

Having made over 350 appearances in his time at Norwich, it’s stands to reason that the club would hold a special place in his heart – and judging by the countless messages of thanks and support from the club, teammates (present and former), and the fans, those connected with Norwich are just as sad about the departure as Hoolahan himself.
It is not yet known where his next destination will be, but reports have suggested that it will be another club in the Championship – putting any emotional Shelbourne homecoming on ice for the time being.
