Rumoured Manchester United target Hirving Lozano insists he was not aware of any interest from the club, as seen on Sky Sports.
The Mexican winger has been linked with the Red Devils constantly after Lozano’s father-in-law said his move to Manchester will be completed after the Olympics.
He told Futbol Entre Lineas: “Yes. It’s all done. Just missing some details and, after the Olympics, the deal will become official.”
However, the player himself has disregarded any rumours linking him with a transfer away from Pachuca.
“It’s nice to hear people talk about a potential move to Manchester United, but it would have been better if it was actually a fact,” Lozano told Mexican website record.com.
“I don’t know anything about United’s interest. If the club tell me anything, then we will see, but I don’t know anything about it at this stage.
“I am at Pachuca now and we will see what happens in the future.”
Lozano has scored 21 goals in 96 appearances in the Mexican top flight and will represent his country in Rio next month.
As of now, the 20-year-old has made 7 appearances for Mexico with four of those at the Copa America earlier this summer.
Manchester United have already recruited Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to their ranks, and Jose Mourinho is eyeing up a fourth summer signing in the form of Juventus and France star Paul Pogba, but the club may find room for Lozano if Memphis Depay leaves.
Usually located on the left of a 4-2-3-1 for Pachuca, Lozano is actually predominantly right-footed, quick and equipped with power.
