Henry Winter is the Chief Football Writer for The Times and speaking at the Arsenal Supporters Trust on Monday night, the journalist made a pretty sensational claim regarding the Gunner’s summer transfer plans…
Winter is viewed as an extremely reliable source when it comes to transfer rumours, however, his statement last night is being viewed with some skepticism as the Times writer announced Arsenal would ‘probably sign N’Golo Kante’ this summer without providing any information to back up his claim.
Henry Winter says off the cuff without giving it second thought that “Kante will probably come to Arsenal next year”

With Leicester firmly on course to win the Premier League, many are speculating what the future holds for some of their standout players next season with Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante in particular looking certain to be targeted by some European giants.
Kante has been absolutely sensational in the middle of the park for Leicester this season and many have already named him as their player of the year. Signed from Caen last summer for just €8 million, Kante has now broken into the French national side and over the weekend, he became the first player in Europe’s top five leagues to win over 100 tackles this season.
Kante would undoubtedly be a massive acquisition for any Premier League side but with Arsenal already looking certain to tie up a deal that will take Borussia Monchengladbach’s Granit Xhaka to the Emirates this summer, Winter’s assertion that Kante is also on his way seems somewhat surprising.
