Jose Mourinho has unveiled the his starting line up for Manchester United’s clash with West Ham.
After suffering a difficult start to the season, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have started to find some form in recent weeks.
First came a 3-1 win over Swansea City, followed by a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, and a dominant display against Feyenoord in the Europa League.
In all three games United demonstrated enough aggression and creativity to suggest they had turned a corner. Indeed, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s performance against Feyenoord suggested that Mourinho would have to select the Armenian against West Ham.
However the United boss has once again selected the £28 million man on the bench, and has picked a midfield that includes Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard.
Given the number of injuries United have suffered in recent weeks, the back four nearly selects itself and sees Marcus Rojo partner Phil Jones at centre half, with Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia selected on the flanks.
Finally, Mourinho has selected Zlatan Ibrahimović with Wayne Rooney again starting on the bench.
