Jeff Hendrick’s brilliant volley for Burnley against Bournemouth last December has been acknowledged by Sky Sports as one of the best goals scored in the Premier League this season.
The Ireland midfielder scored the first in what out to be a 3-2 win for Sean Dyche’s men at Turf Moor, with a fantastic dipping volley.

The strike was revealed to be Burnley’s goal of the season on Sunday night, though the Dubliner faces some very stiff competition if he wants to take home the Sky Sports award.
In all, eleven goals have made the cut, ranging from scorpion kicks to overheads to fantastic solo efforts. The winner will be voted on by the public before being announced on Monday Night Football this week, where it will be analysed by pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville.
At the time of writing, Liverpool’s Emre Can is in the lead with almost one-third of the vote for his acrobatic overhead kick against Watford earlier this month. As was the case with Hendrick, Can’s effort was recently crowned Liverpool’s goal of the season. Jordan Henderson’s long-range goal against Chelsea last September is also up for the vote.
That said, it’s a poll involving Arsenal, so expect Olivier Giroud’s scorpion kick against Crystal Palace to gain serious traction over the course of the day. The French striker’s superb strike, could however, be harmed by the presence of Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s similar effort against Sunderland. The two goals were scored within a week of each other and while they are both brilliant goals in their own right, their similarity could see the votes split.
Lembrado que no primeiro turno contra o Sunderland, Mkhitaryan fez essa barbaridade aí.

Lagging behind but no less impressive a goal, Andy Carroll’s overhead for West Ham in January, in the middle of a comfortable 3-0 win against Crystal Palace (which, incidentally, beat Giroud to the Goal of the Month award that same month).

Gaston Ramirez, Dimitri Payet, Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Xherdan Shaqiri complete the list, though the competition would surely be between the goals shown above.
In an incredibly strong field, whichever goal comes away with the award will have more than earned it.
