Celtic have completed the signing of Ireland international Jonny Hayes from Aberdeen for a fee believed to be around £1.3m.
The 29-year-old has joined the Scottish treble winners from rivals Aberdeen on a three-year deal, as confirmed by Celtic on Saturday afternoon.

Cardiff were also heavily interested in Hayes and lodged a bid to match Celtic’s last week, but the deal to take him to Parkhead was a long time in the making.
Speaking to Celtic’s website, Hayes expressed his excitement at signing for Celtic and his eagerness for the new season to start:
“I’m delighted. It’s been in the pipeline for a little while now but I’m pleased to finally get here. I was eager to get it over the line for the last few weeks.
“Celtic have done well over the last few seasons and with the manager coming in last year he raised the level again. It was hard last year seeing all the celebrations and all the stuff on social media and you want that for yourself and to be part of it.
“Now it’s my chance and hopefully, going forward, I can create my own little bit of history and take the chance I’ve been given.”
Incidentally, one of Hayes’ last acts as an Aberdeen player was to score against Celtic in last month’s Scottish Cup final, a match that Brendan Rodgers’ side went on to win 2-1 with a late Tom Rogic goal.
