Gary Neville Slates Danny Rose After Extraordinary Interview Criticising Spurs

Despite the fact that Danny Rose currently earns a respectable living raking in around £65,000-a-week, the Spurs defender gave an extraordinary interview this week claiming that he was underpaid and that Spurs need to start signing players he doesn’t ‘have to Google’.

Speaking about his earnings to Sun Sport, Rose claimed that he will go out and get paid what he is worth if Spurs are unwilling to increase his salary.

‘One thing is for sure — I know my worth and I will make sure I get what I am worth.’

‘I am not playing as well as I have done not to get paid what I think I am worth.’

Rose went on to criticise his club’s activity in the transfer market speaking at great length about the strength of Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United’s squads before stating that Spurs needed to sign a big player who he didn’t ‘have to Google’.

“I am not saying buy ten players, I’d love to see two or three — and not players you have to Google and say, ‘Who’s that?’ I mean well-known players.”

The interview has several other extraordinary quotes as Rose proclaimed that; “one thing is for sure, for the rest of this career, I will play this game how I want to play it and, while I am not going to disrespect anyone, I am going to voice my opinions.

The Spurs defender has already received a huge amount of criticism online and now, Gary Neville has strongly spoken out against Rose’s comments wondering what the England international was thinking.

The Premier League finally returns this weekend and with Gary Neville set to feature heavily for Sky Sports, we look forward to the outspoken pundit giving his take on the Rose situation on camera.
