The FA Cup fourth round draw took place on Monday evening, and has thrown up a number of interesting ties.
With the exception of Everton, most of the Premier League’s bigger sides remain in the competition (though Liverpool will need a replay against Plymouth next week), as the prospect of a Wembley final becomes that bit more real.
There were a number of shocks, however, as Championship sides Derby County and Wolves knocked out West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City respectively.
Non-league sides Lincoln City and Sutton United are still involved, but they will need replays against Ipswich and AFC Wimbledon respectively as they hope to progress to the next round.
The good news for the Premier League “Big Six” is that they have all avoided each other – in fact, depending on replays (and assuming Liverpool progress), they could all be playing against lower league opposition in the next round.
