Wayne Rooney is far from finished…
Over the past few years, Wayne Rooney’s powers seemed to be drastically decreasing to the point that Manchester United fans were actively campaigning for their former talisman to be sold.
Eventually, the club did exactly that with England’s record goalscorer sent from Old Trafford to Goodison Park last summer. Everton fans weren’t exactly overwhelmed with the signing given the poor form that Rooney has exhibited in recent seasons.
However, the 32-year-old has been rolling back the years since he joined the Toffees and, although we are now only in the midpoint of December, Rooney has already netted an impressive ten goals for Everton and is arguably the club’s standout performer this season.
Rooney has now scored five goals in his last four games for Everton and, on the back of his inspired form, an incredible stat has come to light suggesting that the 32-year-old is still among the very best in Europe.

With 24 efforts on goal in the Premier League this season, Rooney has found the back of the net on an incredible nine occasions – giving him the highest shot-conversion rate of any player in Europe’s top five leagues.
Rooney has already announced his retirement from international football but, given his outstanding form of late, fans have already begun to wonder if their all-time top scorer could be convinced to board the plane to Russia.
