Everton are planning an ambitious move to lure Morgan Schneiderlin to the club, just a year after his big money move to Manchester United.
According to Sky Sports, Ronald Koeman wants a reunion with the French midfielder just one year after Southampton sold their midfield maestro to the Red Devils.
However, despite an impressive start Schneiderlin has not enjoyed long spells in the United team under Louis Van Gaal, and a fresh start at Goodison Park could be tempting for the 26-year-old.
The Mirror have suggested that Schneiderlin could be available for £20m, and Everton have money to burn thanks to Farhad Moshiri’s takeover of the club.
Koeman is known to be very keen on Schneiderlin anyway following their time together at Southampton and was not keen to let his star man go to Old Trafford last summer.
If Jose Mourinho is less than convinced with the midfielder’s contributions and is unwilling to give him a run in the first-team, we think this could be a good move for all parties.
However, a bid is yet to be lodged, so the Frenchman may find himself occupying the Old Trafford bench again at the start of next season!
