Surely Gylfi Sigurdsson isn’t worth this much?
As the massive costs of Premier League transfer fees continue to spiral out of control, we may well have seen another landmark today.

Having sold Lukaku to Manchester United for £75 million, it is clear that The Toffees have funds to play around with this year.
The Iceland international, who was instrumental in his country’s run to the quarter-final of Euro 2016 last summer, has been with The Swans since 2014.
With 27 goals in 106 appearances for the side, he is highly rated at the Liberty Stadium. However, most are in agreement that this is a high price for Everton to pay for the 27-year-old.
If Everton do match Swansea’s reported asking price of £50 million, Sigurdsson would become 13th most valuable transfer in Premier League history, ahead of Fernando Torres’ move from Liverpool to Chelsea.
