The Full Europa League Draw Including An Interesting Tie For United

Manchester United cruised past Saint-Etienne in the round of 32 of the Europa League as they continue to fight on four fronts.

A Zlatan Ibrahimovic hat-trick in the first leg had them in the driving seat for the away leg and an early Henrikh Mkhitaryan goal in France saw the tie off.

Next up, they head to Russia to take on Rostov.

It was at this stage in last year’s competition that the Reds went out to Liverpool. A laughably poor performance in Anfield left them too much to do at Old Trafford. An away goal from Phillipe Coutinho was enough to dash any hopes of a comeback following an Anthony Martial penalty.

Spurs, meanwhile, were dumped out of Europe’s second competition at Wembley last night with a 2-2 draw against a fairly mediocre Gent side.

There was some tricky draws in the hat today for Jose Mourinho’s side, not just owing to the quality of some teams. United are scheduled to face Chelsea on March 13th, a Monday night. The Special One would not have fancied a long trip east just days later.
