As had been expected since news broke last night, England captain Wayne Rooney has been named among the substitutes for tonight’s final Euro 2016 Group B game against Slovakia.
The Manchester United player is replaced by Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere in one of six changes for tonight’s game.

Also coming into the side are full backs Nathaniel Clyne and Ryan Bertrand in place of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose respectively.
Jordan Henderson replaces Dele Alli next to Wilshere, with Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge, the half time substitutes that turned the tide against Wales in last week’s 2-1 win, coming in to replace the visibly tired Harry Kane and off-form Raheem Sterling.
Slovakia meanwhile make one change from the side which beat Russia, also by 2 goals to 1, last week. Inglostadt forward Adam Nemec comes in to replace Ondrej Duda.

Victory will England will guarantee their safe passage through to the next round as group winners, while a win for Slovakia will send them through, also as winners provided Wales don’t beat Russia in tonight’s other game.
