What a goal from Douglas Costa!
Bayern Munich have endured a slow start to the season by their own ridiculously high standards. The German giants were only keeping pace with leaders Leipzig for the opening months of the Bundesliga season, and finished second in their Champions League group.
Locked scoreless with Darmstadt today, the champions needed to find a goal to move ahead of Leipzig at the summit of the table.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man. 26 year-old Brazilian Douglas Costa pulled a goal straight out of the heavens.
Controlling the ball on the right wing, he stepped up to the plate and sized up an audacious attempt from 30 yards.
He hit the ball, and it stayed hit.

The European giants finally find themselves with some positive momentum to bring into 2017, and will look to push on. They are currently tied on points with Leipzig at the top of the table, but enjoy a superior goal-difference.
This goal will serve as a reminder to Arsene Wenger and Arsenal about the weapons at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal ahead of the Champions League clash in February.
