According to WAZ, Borussia Dortmund will come to a decision regarding Man United’s offer for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and it’s looking good for fans of the Red Devils.
Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke was speaking to German media outlet WAZ today and admitted that United are close to clinching the deal.
The situation has changed. United have made a much better offer for Mkhitaryan. We’ll decide at the weekend.
“I have already contacted the appropriate people and we will weigh on the weekend with all the pros and cons,” said Watzke. “It’s also important to me that we get a broad opinion. And then the management will decide that. – Namely at the weekend, definitely “
Mkhitaryan scored eleven and assisted fifteen goals in the recent Bundesliga season, and was instrumental in Die Borussen’s attack.
In his first season with the club, Mkhitaryan showed signs of his extraordinary talent, in particular in his first Revierderby against Schalke, but in 2015/16 the Armenian captain added an important element to his game in goalscoring.
Such a vast improvement in the finishing sector of his game led to an outstanding Bundesliga campaign, and hence why Manchester United, amongst others, are so keen to sign him.
Fortunately for United, it looks like the deal has now been done, with just formalities to be completed for a player who scored 23 goals and assisted in a whopping 32 within 52 games in all competitions in 2015/16.
Welcome to the Premier League, Henrikh Mkhitaryan!|
