Done Deal: Manchester United’s Third Signing Of The Summer Is Finally Official

It’s official.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Henrikh Mkhitaryan has completed his move to Manchester United, becoming José Mourinho’s third signing at Old Trafford.

Dortmund tweeted this today, putting an end to the rumours:

Micki arrives on Sir Matt Busby Way with quite the resumé. He bagged 23 goals and an astonishing 32 assists on his way to being named the Bundesliga Players’ Player of the Year.

Let’s not forget that’s a league that includes the likes of Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus.

He alone was directly involved in more goals last season (in all competitions) than United mustered in their entire league campaign.

The fee is believed to be in the region of £26.3 million and the Armenian is rumoured to be earning £65,000-a-week.

His arrival may signal an end of the road for some of Old Trafford’s fan favourites. Juan Mata and Ander Hererra could find themselves on the chopping block, while Marouane Fellaini’s potential departure will be music to supporters’ ears.

He follows Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the door. The Swede’s arrival was confirmed by the man himself yesterday.
