Dimitri Payet has been linked with moves away from West Ham.
After a stellar debut season with West Ham, Dimitri Payet garnered a PFA Player of the Year nomination and instantly became France’s golden boy, which led to speculation he could be playing elsewhere next season.
Co-owner of The Hammers David Gold spoke to BBC claiming that the club would only consider a bid of £50m plus. Consequently, speculation mounted over Payet’s future, with Real Madrid linked with a move for the midfielder after his impressive display at Euro 2016.
But speaking to The Sun Payet announced that he will be staying with the Hammers next year as they will move into The Olympic Stadium.
According to the newspaper, Payet said that he is “100 per cent staying at West Ham” for the upcoming season, and that he loves the club.
All in all, things are looking up for West Ham with their new world class stadium, a world class player and a world class manager maybe they could go on to emulate Leicester next season?
