Diego Costa Ends Drought And His Stats Keep Getting Better And Better

Chelsea took a giant leap on the path to the Premier League title tonight with a 4-2 win over Southampton. The Pensioners now sit seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham, who have a game in hand.

The most notable talking point from this evening’s action was Diego Costa’s return to goalscoring ways, as the Spanish striker found the net twice.

Costa bagged his first league goal since March 6, ending a run of five Premier League games without finding scoring.

As the 28-year-old leads the Stamford Bridge side in their pursuit of the double, his stats keep on getting better and better.

In fact, his goalscoring returns mean that he ought to be considered in some esteemed company.

Spurs will attempt to reel Costa and Chelsea in when they face Crystal Palace tomorrow night at Selhurst Park.
