Declan Rice is certainly a player who will feature for Ireland in the future. The 18-year-old Ireland U21 star has been making quite the name for himself this year at West Ham.
Frequently featuring for the Hammers of late, Rice made his third Premier League start today against leaders Manchester City. The London club certainly made life difficult for their hosts, taking the lead before half-time.
Although Pep Guardiola’s side did secure the three points, there were plenty of positives for West Ham in defeat, not least the showing of Declan Rice.

Declan Rice really impressed today. Not bad for an 18 year old against Aguero!

Rice will be eager to build on the experience and get more starts under his belt. With the long run-up to the Euro 2020 qualifiers, don’t be surprised to see him make his debut for Ireland in the coming months.
